This was our project last Sunday. My daughter and I put it together in about an hour from directions I found here . Luckily I can get almost as many pallets as I want for free and the hardware cost about $10. I have some old fence posts so I'll cut one down next weekend (okay - I'll have the hubby do it on his chop saw) and add it to the left side so the gate will line up and I can put a latch on it (which I also got free from work - they were throwing a whole box of them out). This didn't go to badly considering we're both power tool challenged, we didn't have to ask the man for help at all. I was very happy with the whole process and she only complained about wanting to go back inside 3 times. That's pretty much a record since she's in that angsty/gothy period where she just wants to sit inside in the dark. Not that I can blame her in this case - summer finally hit Western Mass and with a vengeance! I really hate HOT myself but every other time I wanted to get this done it was raining. In a week or so when it's cooler I'll transfer the current compost pile into the enclosure to keep it contained and looking better than it does now.
